Policies effective 12/11/09

We will be open and shipping the following days in 2009 from Vancouver, WA 98683:   12/14, 12/15, 12/16, 12/17, 12/18, 12/21, 12/22 & 12/23, 12/28.   We will be closed and will NOT be shipping 12/24 through 12/27 and 12/29 through 1/3.   Our first shipping day in 2010 will be Monday, January 4th.

Shipping Guidelines: Due to high volume of last minute holiday shipments, all standard UPS Ground and USPS Priority orders are guaranteed to ship the first business day (M - F) after payment receipt with a 11:00 P.M. cut-off time. For example, if you pay by 11:00 p.m. PST on December 9th, your order will ship December 10th.  If you pay at 11:01 p.m. PST on December 9th, your order will be guaranteed to ship by December 11th but may ship on the 10th on a time-available basis.

All Expedited Deliveries via USPS Express, UPS Overnight, UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS 3 Day select will ship the same business day IF paid for by 8:00 A.M. PST.  For example, if you pay at 7:59 a.m. PST on December 9th, your order will ship December 9th.  If you pay at 8:01 a.m. PST on December 17th, your order will be guaranteed to ship by December 10th but may ship on the 9th on a time-available basis. (Please note that we have carrier pick-ups around noon each day.)

Important Note for Expedited Orders: Our Online Shopping Cart is only set up for standard shipping.   (UPS on orders over 2 lbs and USPS on orders under 2 lbs.)  If you want EXPEDITED delivery (Overnight, Express, 2 Day Air or 3 Day Select), please make a note in the shipping notes section when you make payment and we will invoice you for the difference.  We're sorry but we will not ship via expedited service until these additional shipping fees are paid for.  You can either call in with a credit card for the shipping difference to (360) 852-8368 or we can invoice you via PayPal.

Please note that there will be a $5.00 service charge from Count Your Beans for all orders shipped via USPS Express, UPS Overnight, UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS 3 Day Select for orders shipped December 21st or December 22nd.  There is no service charge for standard UPS or USPS Priority delivery.  There is no service charge for expedited delivery December 17th or December 18th.

Please note that guarantees of arrival time (where applicable) are carrier guarantees and are based upon their service guidelines which can be read at www.ups.com or www.usps.com respectively.  Count Your Beans can guarantee you that we will turn around your order according to the guidelines posted above.  After that, please note that it is in the hands of the carrier and Mother Nature.  There are certain parts of the country that are being adversely impacted by weather / acts of God and as such, attempted delivery times may be rescheduled.  If shipping UPS, please check your UPS tracking # for details.  With USPS, there are tracking #s for Express delivery but not for Priority Delivery.  With USPS Priority, you are given a delivery confirmation #.

The USPS.com website gives an estimated time of arrival of 2 - 4 mailing days depending on your zip code in relation to WA (98683) - Not a "guaranteed" time but usually arrives in 2 - 3 days.

The post office says that the USPS Parcel Post cut-off time for Christmas package arrival is December 16th and that the USPS Priority cut-off time for Christmas package arrival is December 21st.

The United States post office website at www.usps.com says that the USPS Priority International cut-off time for Christmas package arrival is Friday, December 11th for Australia / New Zealand, Asia / Pacific Rim and Mexico.  The USPS Priority International cut-off time for Christmas package arrival is Monday, December 14th for Canada and Europe.

The United States post office website at www.usps.com says that the USPS Express International cut-off time for Christmas package arrival is Thursday, December 17th for Australia / New Zealand, Europe, Asia / Pacific Rim and Mexico.   The USPS Express International cut-off time for Christmas package arrival is Friday, December 18th for Canada.

As always, when shipping internationally, you have to take into account that a package may get held up in customs.   This is not something that was as the shipper can control and so we highly recommend the earlier you can have your package shipped, the better if you need it for the holidays.
