| Peace Rose Doll Description: Peace Rose is the third doll in Marie Osmond's Coming Up Roses Series. She is a commemoration to September 11th as well as a tribute to Peace in general. Here's a little history for you! In 1945, Conrad Pyle christened a stunningly beautiful rose that had been smuggled into America from war-torn France. The rose was christened "Peace" to commemorate the end of World War II. The rose was formally introduced on April 29, 1945 (the day Berlin fell) and was to be a shining example of the ability of humans to persevere even in the worst of circumstances and also to be a signal of the beginning of a new era. Today in 2002 that message is just as relevantand it is with great honor and dedication that Marie Osmond introduces Peace Rose from her symbolic and beautiful Coming Up Roses Series. Peace Rose is a vision of beauty as her dress is patterned after the actual rose with various colors of cream, yellow and pink. Rich in symbolism of the human spirit that shone so abudantly following the tragedy of September 11, 2001, Peace Rose was created as a reminder and home of just that... Peace. Peace Rose is truly a collectible porcelain doll with original head, arms and legs by sculptor, Sonja Bryer. She is approximately 11" seated and has olive green eyes. Her hair color is darker than the original catalog picture as shown above. The final hair color is most accurately represented in the TOP picture above! Peace Rose also DOES come with a cute Peace Rose Pin which is sure to be collectible as well!

| Additional Notes from Count Your Beans : Peace Rose was originally scheduled to be a New March Release and was showcased on QVC in February. She first arrived at Count Your Beans on March 8th and has been very well received! We still have some available for order and she will be up for auction as well. We watched Peace Rose sell QUICKLY on QVC. In the time that we were watching, almost 1500 were sold in a very short time.
