Have Fashion, Fun, Art and Style, and, as Always, Marie!
As the company’s new slogan implies, whatever doll you’re looking for this season, Charisma’s got it in 2006.
With three
new doll lines – Artista™, Lulla-my-Baby™ and Candy Fashion – plus new
introductions to Kewpie®, LIPSTIK and Marie Osmond Dolls, Charisma has dolls that
collectors can’t help but fall in love with because they’ve got…Charisma!
In celebration of 15 years in the doll industry, Marie Osmond has dedicated 2006 to her fellow doll collectors. She has planned a year full of surprises around the theme “Friends Like You.” In January, Marie Osmond Dolls will launch the “My Friend” Toddler Doll. “My Friend” comes with a very special surprise -- the “Tiny Tot” version of the “My Friend” toddler doll for the receiver to keep for themselves, or give to a friend as a special gift. Dressed in an eye-catching organza gown in subtle multi-colors with crystal adornments, “My Friend” is a perfect commemoration of the “crystal” 15th Anniversary.
Marie debuts many more truly collectible dolls in 2006, including a line of “Artist Portrait” baby dolls in gratitude and recognition of several of the sculptor “friends” her collectors have come to love. For this very special series, Marie commissioned several artists to sculpt themselves as babies, to give her collectors a personal and unique heirloom doll to treasure.
Marie
Osmond is also pleased to present “Bunny Love 15th Anniversary,” a truly
collectible reproduction of “Bunny Love” doll. Adorned with sparkling crystals
for Marie’s “crystal” anniversary, “Bunny Love 15th Anniversary”
wears a brilliant pink gown with embroidered organza overlay. To complete her attire, she wears a dainty pink bow
tied around her sculpted bunny-ears head.
Kewpie
Few dolls have made an impact on American life like the famous KEWPIE®. Created in 1909 by Rose O'Neill, Kewpie® first appeared as magazine illustrations and in advertisements. Its greatest impact was achieved with the introduction of the porcelain bisque dolls and figurines, which were first sold in 1913. Kewpie® has been continuously produced ever since and remains enduringly popular.
Charisma is excited to debut new Kewpie dolls for 2006 including the bride and groom doll set, “To Have and To Hold.” Their costumes are inspired by the original bisque Kewpie® Bride and Grooms from the 1920’s. “To Have and To Hold” are truly a collectible set, sculpted by Joseph L. Kallus and limited to only 500 pieces.

the artist archive collection “Strawberry Kewpie®-licious” is a berry sweet
treat. She and her little Kewpie® helpers are ready to cook up a batch of
Artista™ Dolls are brought life by the industry’s most gifted designers and sculptors. Each play and display Artista Doll is based on an original artist sculpt and created using Charisma’s own Caressalyn™ vinyl. Caressalyn™ emulates fine bisque porcelain with a petal smooth finish, but with proper care, resists the fragility of porcelain for a lifetime of enjoyment.
Eight of these artist-perfect dolls join Charisma’s line in 2006, and every Artista doll comes with her very own pajamas. Donna Rubert sculpted seven of the introductory dolls. “Timeless Treasure” wears a chocolate brown velvet dress and holds her very own treasured heirloom ivory teddy. A luxurious pink poodle jacket and hat keeps “Winter Wonder” warm while she walks her mischievous pink and white poodle. In her soft pink play suit and pink satin ballet slippers, “TuTu Cute” lives up to her name. Collectors won’t be able to resist “Puppy Love” with her playful pigtails, her unique kneeling body and her own adorable puppy. Artist, Jane Pinkstaff has designed “Sweet Slumber”, an infant christening baby adorned in delicate lace.
Several
Artista dolls are ready for spring with their dainty flower embellishments. “Flowers for a Friend” offers a spring
bouquet of flowers, while “My Flower Girl” carries petals in her flower basket. “Celebrate Spring” wears an heirloom
dusty pink dress in faux silk adorned with delicate floral embroidery.
Lulla-my-Baby™ dolls incorporate both the early learning importance of music in a child's development along with the innate nurturing aspect of life. Each 16” Lulla-my-Baby™ doll is themed with a special lullaby song and comes with a CD containing 5 classic lullaby tunes.
Made with vinyl that simulates a real baby’s skin and life-like eyes, Lulla-my-Baby dolls can be rocked to sleep in their own cradle-shaped boxes. “Rock-a-bye Baby,” “Hush Little Baby,” “Little Boy Blue,” “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” and “Itsy-Bitsy Spider” make their debut for the Lulla-my-Baby line in 2006.
Charisma’s Candy Fashion dolls are truly a treasure from the bygone era. Originally produced in 1962, Candy Fashion was “the dream of every girl.” Little girls could find Candy Fashion in supermarkets across the country. And what mother could resist buying one? The Candy Fashion doll was known to have “the most exquisite clothing” and she came with four complete ensembles and matching accessories.
In 2006, Charisma brings back the bygone era with a new Candy Fashion faithfully
reproduced using finer quality materials for generations of enjoyment and stylish fun. Charisma has recreated a replica vintage box to display Candy and her four original fashions that

Tot Dolls exclusively for retailers. The set contains one doll for you to keep and one to

15 - Marie kicks off Marie Osmond Gives, the first of 12 Marie Osmond Dolls archival
artist proof doll auctions on eBay Giving Works to benefit the Children’s Miracle
Network. Each month, one of these very special dolls will be auctioned exclusively on eBay
Giving Works, with the proceeds going to the winning bidder’s local Children’s
Miracle Network hospital. January’s doll is “Remember Me” doll from her
“Coming Up Roses” collections with very special “extras”.
27 - Tickets go on sale for Marie Osmond Doll’s 15th Anniversary “Friends Like
You Reunion and Crystal Gala Dinner!”
27-29 - International Doll Expo (IDEX) – Marie hosts her “Friends Like You
Brunch,” a very special event for 150 ”friends” in Orlando, FL. This
sold-out gathering promises to be full of fun and surprises! Marie will be hosting a
doll signing on the 28th.
February:
