Although the information that came over from Charisma on December 26th didn't list any of these dolls as 4 week or 6 week holds, we were told back in October (see our October 27th update) that 4 of the dolls were going to have a hold time.  Baby Lucy was supposed to be a 6 week hold and I believe Adora My Heart Belle & Baby Abby Tiny Tot & Baby Grace were 4 week holds. (This is subject to change and as soon as we have clarification, we will post to this page.)

We will be adding these dolls to our website alphabetical pages for pre-order throughout the weekend.  Pictures are supposed to be coming soon, however since Charisma Brands is officially closed until Monday, January 5th, 2009, it's probable we might not get them until after that time.

** The special Retail Exclusive Adora Belle Sweetheart doll just arrived into stock.  She was a little late due to weather delays but we're happy she's here. We will be contacting collectors who pre-order her on December 28th and 29th.

** Please note that UPS will be closed for UPS Ground pick-ups on Wednesday, December 31st and Thursday, January 1st.   Assuming there are no further snowy weather delays, our shipping days for next week include: Monday, December 29th, Tuesday, December 30th and Friday, January 2nd.  We will resume our normal 3 day a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) shipping schedule on Monday, January 5th, 2009!

** Count Your Beans will be open December 29th and 30th but closed December 31st and January 1st. Please note if trying to reach the manufacturer that Charisma Brands will be closed until Monday, January 5th, 2009. 

** Upcoming QVC shows include: Friday, January 16th from 10:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. PST.   This is a one hour show of last chance specials. (We doubt Marie will physically be at this show.)  Marie will be showing the February 2009 releases at QVC on Monday, February 9th from 2:00 - 3:00 a.m. PST, 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. PST and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. PST.

It's definitely not too late to get your dolls for the holidays!  We've updated all our Marie Osmond, Kewpie, Whispering Willow Fairies, Artista & Candy Fashion pages to reflect some AMAZING last minute holiday shopping value!  We will be shipping December 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 22nd and will have a page with our holiday shipping schedule up by 12/15.

** We are expecting Baby Cakes early next week in time for Christmas delivery.  Adora Sweetheart Belle should be shipping out next week (Christmas turnaround time not guaranteed).  We just learned on Friday that we WILL be getting a small shipment of the Baby Olive Marie Magic of Christmas Toddler dolls.  We are hoping to get them here in time to turn around for Christmas but it will really be cutting it close so we can't guarantee Christmas arrival.

** Charisma decided at this point in time to not release the Marie Osmond February 2009 doll descriptions and pictures until the end of December.  They believe by releasing the information early, it may take away from holiday sales.  We are hoping since it's so close to the holidays now that they will sneak them into us a little sooner.  We know how patiently you all are waiting and how eager you are to see the new beauties!  With so many great February 2009 dolls around the corner, a Count Your Beans Gift Certificate is always a great idea!

** 2/3 of our initial Christmas Cookie Tiny Tot pre-order has arrived.  This first shipment is sold out in pre-order and the balance of our order is expected in around 12/8 or 12/9. Anyone who has pre-ordered that has not yet been contacted, your doll will be arriving in the second shipment and we will be contacting you with your balance very shortly.  Our first shipment of Sugar Cookie Tiny Tot & Cookies and Milk Tiny Tot is now in stock as well.  We do have a few spares!  Those who pre-ordered should be contacted by 12/1.

Christmas Cookie Tiny Tot & Sugar Cookie Tiny Tot & Cookies & Milk Tiny Tot are now in transit and should be arriving by 11/21.  Thank you so much for your patience!

Baby Cakes has been pushed back / delayed and the new ETA is the end of December / beginning of January.

Our retail supply of Baby Olive Marie Magic of Christmas has been delayed by Charisma until December to accommodate Charisma's current internet sales plan.  Unless something changes drastically, we should have them in time for Christmas.  If this changes, we will let those who pre-ordered know.  Thanks!

The February Adora Belle Calendar Girl which initially was supposed to arrive in November has been pushed back until January.  We are not sure if this means that Charisma has changed their schedule to shipping 1 month before instead of 2 - 3 months before.  We will try and get an update for you.

Re-orders of the out of stock Rag-A-Muffins are being delayed at Charisma and now aren't expected to arrive until mid-December.  Due to being pushed back so many times, we cannot guarantee a Christmas delivery and apologize for any inconvenience.

The following items are now out of stock at Count Your Beans and Charisma and not expected to return: Baby Elvis, Bella, Bride & Groom Keepsake, Just Ducky, Olive Marie 50th Anniversary, Teacher in Training & Wee Care.

Stock is very low on many of the August and October show dolls.  We will likely not be getting back in re-orders of most of these dolls, so if you're looking to add these to your collection, now is a great time!

*** Hi doll friends!  We enjoyed a conference call with Tracy & Corrie at Charisma Brands earlier this week where we learned about the new Marie Osmond & Kewpie doll releases for February 2009. She has a lot of exciting things planned!

We learned Marie's new theme for 2009 but can't spill the beans yet on the names and descriptions until we get official approval from Charisma.  We can say that there should be somewhere around 20 new releases (give or take) for February and Marie has tried to include something for everyone!  There will be a few tiny tots, a few toddlers, a vinyl Adora Belle, a porcelain Adora Belle, a Valentine's Day keepsake, a St. Patrick's Day themed keepsake, a toddler of a VERY famous star and a couple new series doll debuts!  Kathy Smith-Fitzpatrick is back with a new standing doll and Jessica Schenk joins the list of talented sculptors for Marie when she debuts two small baby dolls in a brand new series.

There will be 4 dolls that have 4 week QVC first exclusives (one Adora Belle, one 12" timeless beauty, one Beverly Stoehr baby and one tiny tot favorite.)  There will also be one very special licensed toddler doll of a famous lady that will have a 6 week QVC first exclusive.  We have already placed our orders and as soon as we get approval, we will get the doll descriptions up for pre-order on our website with pictures to hopefully come shortly thereafter!  Your pre-orders help us to decide what dolls will be popular, where we should order extras and where we should be conservative.  We totally appreciate your support! 

Marie's first Marie Osmond Dolls show of the 2009 year on QVC is anticipated for mid-February.   There will be no January show.  At this point in time, Marie is also planning shows for March (Limited Edition/QVC only), April, June, August and October 2009. 

*** 2009 marks the 100th year of Kewpie so expect to see a lot of special things going along with this line including some VERY limited edition Kewpies!  There will be approximately 14 new Kewpies in February 2009 including the 12" vinyl A Tribute To Rose - 100th Anniversary Kewpie and a 16" porcelain Rosie and Doodle Dog which will be limited to around just 50 pieces! (PRE-ORDERS Highly Suggested!)  Most of the other Kewpies should be 8" vinyl and include a cowboy, a cowgirl, a pair of graduates, a ladybug, a bee, a cheerleader, a chef, an Easter cutie, a flying kewpie, a patriotic kewpie and a Happy Birthday kewpie.  There will be also be another group of Kewpies that will come into stock in August 2009.

** Marie & Charisma added a new Retail Exclusive for mid to late December 2008.  Her name is Adora My Sweetheart Belle and this pretty in pink full body porcelain doll will be limited to just 250 pieces worldwide.   She is available for pre-order now!  Due to small edition size, Charisma expects to sell out and we hope to as well, so we highly recommend pre-orders!

** We are delighted to offer small supplies of two new very limited edition dolls on our website, both originally exclusive to Charisma's internet site.  We are pleased to offer both Baby Olive Marie Magic of Christmas Toddler (LE 300) & Good Night Kissy Toddler (LE 150).  Supplies of both of these dolls are very limited and once we're sold out, they're gone!

** Good Night Kissy and Adora Poetry In Motion are now in stock!  Those who pre-ordered will be contacted by 10/13.   We received our first supply of Adora Belle January Belle Calendar Girl & the Calendar Holder but it is sold out in pre-order.  Our second supply is expected around 10/23 and is available for pre-order now!

** As always, we will be gladly offering QVC price matching for any dolls we carry that will be shown on Marie's October 6th QVC shows!  Although we don't yet have inventory in hand due to Charisma port delays (please see update from 9/28), we will still do the match and we appreciate your support and patience.

** Count Your Beans just learned and is happy to announce that we will be carrying a small supply of the Marie Osmond Internet Exclusive Goodnight Kissy doll. This special doll is limited to only 150 pieces worldwide. We expect our supply to arrive to us by mid-October.  They are currently available for pre-order!

** Baby Donny Tiny Tot & Boo Who Tiny Tot have just arrived into stock at Count Your Beans!   Those who pre-ordered will be contacted within approximately 48 hours.  If you have other outstanding dolls to ship with your tiny tots that have not come in yet, please let us know whether you'd like individual or combined shipments.  We do still offer Free UPS Grd/Ins S/H in the continental USA on shipped orders of $50 or greater!

** Adora Poetry In Motion, Adora January Belle and the Calendar & Calendar Holder should be arriving to Count Your Beans by around October 15th.

** Tree House Tots, Too Sweet Tots and October dolls will be arriving in late October as they are supposed to arrive in port to Charisma around October 17th.  Due to QVC's continuity program and request, Christmas Cookie Tiny Tot has been pushed back to late October and the Sugar Cookie Tiny Tot & Milk and Cookies Tiny Tot will probably now be coming in mid November.  Rag-A-Muffin ETAs have been pushed back to mid-November.  We've been assured that they'll all definitely arrive in time for the holidays, however we appreciate your patience and support with the dealys.

** We learned from Charisma on Friday that the next release of new Marie Osmond dolls after Marie's October show won't be until February 2009.  There will not be a January show.  Descriptions for February 2009 dolls are anticipated in approximately 3 - 4 weeks.

** Important October Dolls Shipping Update:  Marie Osmond is scheduled to have her last two doll shows of the year on QVC on Monday, October 6th from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. PST and 10:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. PST.  The October dolls will be shown at that time. We were told by our Charisma rep on September 25th that the retailer supply of most October dolls is currently late in transit and isn't due to come into their Maryland warehouse until the middle part of October.  As it will take a couple days to inventory and a week in transit time from MD to our location in WA, we are estimating that the October dolls won't be arriving until late October.

** The Whispering Willows Fall dolls are going to be shown on QVC on Sunday, October 12th from 11 p.m. - midnight.   Most of the Whispering Willows Fall dolls should be shipping to retailers from Charisma's Maryland Distribution Center around October 17th.  We hope to have them in stock by Friday, October 24th or Monday, October 27th.  We will do our best to get the Halloween related dolls turned around as soon as possible.

Hello Marie Doll Collectors & Friends!  It's been a really busy last couple of weeks.   We hope you had the chance to enjoy Marie's shows on QVC on 8/30 and 9/1. ** We have heard that Baby Olive Marie Toddler (initially a 4 week hold with QVC) is shipping early and we are expecting her at Count Your Beans next week.  We were told she is sold out at Charisma and there will probably not be another run of her produced in 2008.  If you are interested in this doll, she's on sale now!  (For those looking for a Donny to go with their Marie, we also are happy to say that we acquired a few more Baby Donny dolls with COAs signed by Donny)

** The Cookie Tiny Tots Series (Christmas Cookie, Cookies & Milk, Smart Cookie & Sugar Cookie) were originally supposed to be all August releases, however since QVC offered them on air as a continuity series, the only tiny tot retailers have received in the series so far is Smart Cookie Tiny Tot.  We've been told by our rep at Charisma that they will try to get the other three tiny tots sent to retailers at the same time and they're shooting for a mid-October date.  When we hear more, we'll be happy to let you know.

** Other dolls pushed back in ETA include: Too Sweets Tots (ETA is now October), Carrot, Cherry & Oatmeal Rag-A-Muffin (ETA late October), Tree House Tots (ETA TBD), Baby Cakes (October), Baby Lisa Tiny Tot (October)

** Charisma Brands had a very positive August show and as such, they are sold out or very close to selling out of the following dolls: Bella - Ella - Happy Haunting Keepsake - Baby Olive Marie Toddler.   We still have a few left of each available in order or pre-order.

** We've been told that they will very likely NOT be bringing back the holiday themed dolls after 2008 so if you are interested in these, please don't miss out in ordering or pre-ordering.   All of these dolls have been flying off the shelves here as well.  Dolls Charisma has said they consider holiday themed are: Happy Haunting Keepsake, Candy Corn Too Sweets, Ella Holiday Toddler, Adora Belle Holiday 2008, Baby Santa, Magic of Christmas Keepsake, Kissy Under the Mistletoe Tiny Tot, Faylinn Holiday Fairy Baby & Mommy's Girl Holiday (Retail Exclusive)

** The Fall Kewpie dolls are now in transit to us with the exception of Vampiress (ETA October).  We have some great Kewpie dolls on sale now, including a few other cuties for Halloween such as Scarecrow Kewpie & Kitty Kat Kewpie.

** The ETA for the Whispering Willow Fall Fairies is mid October, hopefully to coincide with the launch of this line on QVC

** At this time, Charisma does not have a planned holiday giveaway.  In the past they in collaboration with retailers would give away a gift each year to ship with the October dolls.  In the past this has included calendars, pins, ornaments or a CD.  Because there is going to be an Adora Belle Calendar Girl Series, there is not likely to be a separate calendar giveaway.  The calendar that is coming with the Adora Belle Calendar Girls is available for separate purchase but our understanding is you must purchase it with the calendar holder. 

** There have been a number of questions about the Adora Belle Calendar Girls series.  We highly recommend that you watch Marie's presentation on QVC in October because the Calendar Series dolls will be debuted then and I think they will show all 12 on air for you to see.  Our understanding is that QVC will run it as a continuity / auto-ship program, however you can order the dolls individually from Count Your Beans.  The ETA for each Calendar Girl doll is 2 - 3 months before its actual calendar month.  (i.e. January Belle is due in October 2008, February Belle is due in November 2008, March Belle is due in December 2008 & so on.)

** Charisma Brands is excited to announce the acquisition of Paradise Galleries dolls.  As Paradise Galleries collectors may know, the original Paradise Galleries site closed their doors earlier this year.  We worked with the Retailer side of the organization (Thomas Boland & Co.) selling select Paradise Galleries dolls at Retail. 

The Paradise Galleries website is now re-open for business and if you read their "About Me" page, you will see the company is now part of the Charisma Brands family.  As we were also an authorized Paradise Galleries / Thomas Boland retailer and currently still have some older Paradise Galleries inventory, we asked Charisma if retailers would be allowed to purchase new Paradise Galleries inventory at wholesale.  Unfortunately it appears that for at least the short-term, Charisma will be running Paradise Galleries as a catalog / direct to consumer company.  Although we'd like to be able to offer their dolls to collectors through retail and will welcome the opportunity to do so, it appears for now that most Paradise Galleries dolls will be only available through Charisma directly.  We will continue to offer the older Paradise Galleries inventory we have.

That being said, they are offering some Marie Osmond, Artista and Candy Fashion dolls on their website that we already have in stock or have pre-ordered.  We will do our very best to price match their offerings if it is cost-effective for us to do so.   We appreciate your continued support and look forward to working with you!   Hopefully the acquistion of Paradise Galleries will introduce a whole new segment of the doll collecting population to Marie Osmond's dolls.

“Friendship Paradise Rose” is Marie’s sculpt of her 15th Anniversary Friendship Rose, reduced in size to about 12” seated and in a simple lavender dress.   This exclusive doll created by Marie for Paradise Galleries will be in the   “Marie Osmond’s Treasury Collection by Paradise Galleries”.  If you purchase one, (and I do recommend it for new collectors or gift giving), you will notice some differences in the Treasury Collection verses the Marie Osmond Fine Porcelain Doll Collection.  First, Treasury dolls are not Limited Editions, there is less porcelain than typical, they are packaged simply in Paradise Galleries type packaging, the fabrics are simple and the hand details are kept to a minimum to reach this value price.   What a super gesture to welcome Paradise Gallery collectors to our family. ** Marie Osmond is introducing a lot of wonderful dolls for her August show.  From what we've been told and seen recently in preview, there will not be nearly as many dolls released in October.   There were originally around 15 but many of them were pushed out to early 2009.   You will see a lot of the holiday dolls in the August line-up.  We do not know if they'll be shown on TV shopping in October as well, however we have been told that there is likely to be only one run, possibly two of most of the holiday dolls, so if you see something you are interested in, we recommend you pre-order her early so you don't miss out.  Charisma is working to try and create more excitement and more sell-outs.

QVC will have 4 week first exclusives on: Adora Belle Poetry In Motion, Baby Donny Tiny Tot, Baby Olive Marie Toddler & Boo Who Tiny Tot. As Marie's show is anticipated to be in late August, that means retailers should expect these dolls to start shipping to us in late September for a late September or early October arrival.

** The first group of Whispering Willow Fairies dolls is now in.  The dolls are wonderful and the packaging is pretty ornate.   We have extras of all the debut dolls and are accepting pre-orders of the Fall / Holiday dolls and accessories. Please note that this is a Charisma Brands line but is not a "Marie Osmond" line.  There are many different styles of poseable fairies in this line, truly something for everyone!  Some of the holiday dolls, especially the Halloween are SUPER cute!  We invite you to check out this very affordably priced series.

** Most of the June dolls will be shipping to arrive in late June around the time of Marie's show. A friendly reminder, as we're in Washington and Charisma's Distribution Center is in Maryland, it takes us about 7 to 8 calendar days to receive the dolls once they are shipped.  (We hope to get most of the dolls in time for the show but ask for some flexibility as we can't control this, thanks!)  Marie's shows on QVC will be on June 25th from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. PST and June 26th from Noon to 1:00 p.m. PST and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PST.   That's a lot of hours and a lot of great dolls to be shown!  We are gladly accepting pre-orders for June dolls today!

** Count Your Beans recently met with the staff of Charisma Brands and we have lots of upcoming news to share over the next few days, so please check back as we do our updates!  John had the pleasure of physically meeting with the staff and I participated online via webconferencing.  We got to hear about the new releases for June, August, October and even a few new dolls in 2009!  We're not allowed to disclose some of the information yet but we CAN say that there are many new fabulous dolls coming over the rest of this year.  (We will be disclosing information as we get permission and there are some tidbits below.)

** Charisma has been listening to your comments!  Thanks to all those who wrote in.  They value your input and so do we.  Charisma is going to be working hard to try and bring up the value and collectibility of Marie's dolls in the future.  They are in the process of changing their pre-order policies later this year to a system which is more heavily based on advance consumer interest and demand.  Charisma does not want to be producing a lot of excess dolls.  They want more sell-outs and when this happens, the dolls will retain more of their value and will become more collectible again.  What this means to you is that pre-orders are going to become more and more important.  If Charisma and your retailers don't see that there is a heavy demand for a doll, very few will be produced and even though a COA may say 1500, there may only be one run of a doll unless demand dictates another run.  (Demand in this case means there needs to be enough retailer pre-orders to Charisma to make it cost-effective for them to bring in another few hundred dolls.)

The tricky part about all of this is that we as retailers have to pre-order months in advance of the dolls arriving to us.  In many cases, we are pre-ordering before pictures and official descriptions are even released.  We of course will do our best to order to meet the demands of our customer base.  We don't want to under-order nor do we want to order too many.   It's a fine art, I guess!  Sometimes a doll that is a sleeper turns out to be really popular (i.e. Jenna) and sometimes a doll that we think everyone will want doesn't have much demand. You can help by letting us know what kinds of dolls you like and want to see.  We will post more on this later.

** 2 New Retail Exclusives have just been added to our website for pre-order:  Adora Not So Scary Belle - a full body porcelain doll limited to 300 pieces & Mommy's Girl Holiday Toddler - a toddler in a beautiful sparkling gold and shimmering white dress, also limited to 300 pieces.  (The hair & eye color on this doll is different than the original Mommy's girl, so much that it looks almost like a brand new sculpt.)

** Friends Toddler which was initially a QVC exclusive with a 4 week hold is now coming to retail at the end of June.  She will have a teddy bear with her instead of a doll and we received word today that she will actually be a RETAIL exclusive limited to 1500.

** Charisma is going to be doing some exciting new marketing promotions for the Summer and Fall with Doll Reader, Dolls, Fairies Magazine and more!  Marie will be featured in the June Issue of Woman's World Magazine and the August Issue of Good Housekeeping.

** We are looking on ways to improve our website and customer buying experience.  As there are just two of us and I handle the web-design, time is of the essence but we would like to improve our communciations process.  To that end, be watching in the near future for some exciting new changes at Count Your Beans!

** We are doing a QVC TSV price match for the Too Sweet Tots.  Anyone who already pre-ordered any of the dolls will get the discount. The way we broke it down was to $24.95 apiece, a $5 per doll savings. We have asked Charisma about the arrival dates for subsequent dolls in the series beyond Mint Truffle & Caramel  but they are not sure yet which dolls are coming when.  We appreciate your patience and will post new information on these dolls as we have them.

** Some of the dolls in the Spring 2008 catalog that were initially marked as Spring / April releases on our website are now more likely to be sometime in the Summer since they were not listed in Charisma's presentation of April releases that was emailed to retailers a little over a week ago.)   If I haven't done so already, I will be updating the webpages to reflect that.   Dolls I can think of offhand include Roly Poly & Baby Cakes (these are the 2nd and 3rd dolls in the new Bare Bottoms Series by Ping Lau), Milk Chocolate Hershey Miniatures (Krackel will come out first in April), Aiko (probably June) &  Banana Cream Pie (probably June).

** There is no confirmed date yet for Marie's April QVC show but we believe it will be in late April.  (We hope to receive April dolls around the time of the show.) There is no word yet as to if Confidence Becoming Butterflies is the only 4 week QVC hold for April but if there are changes, we'll let you know!  (We're hoping it will stay as is!)

** The ETA for the Whispering Willow Fairies dolls will be LATE April.  Thank you so much to all who have pre-ordered.  We apprecaiate your support of this whimsical new series!

** Our 2nd shipment of Baby Rosebud was delayed and we're looking to get an ETA. (At this point, please assume March at the earliest.) Peaceable and Tiger have not arrived into Charisma as of Friday, February 22nd.  Peaceable should be coming first and we've revised her ETA for early March.  We are not sure if Tiger is on the same container.

There is also going to be a Mother's Day 2008 Keepsake doll as well as the debut of a new doll series called Wall Flowers.  The first doll in the series will be Rosey by Jen Printy (new Marie Osmond doll artist).  We will have these new dolls available for pre-order within the next 48 hours or so.

** For those of you who have purchased our Marie Osmond Exclusive doll, Rubina Fairy, thank you!  She turned out so lovely and we really appreciate all the kind feedback we have heard.  It means a lot to us!  We've had some questions as to if there is going to be a Rubina Fairy Tiny Tot made in the future and when we spoke to Tracy, the National Sales Director at Charisma, she said that none was planned as individual store retail exclusives generally do not become tiny tots.  (I think Savannah Tiny Tot from Lane's may be the sole exception.)  That being said, we honestly would not be surprised if Rubina was made into a tot because she is so awesome and fairies are extremely popular.  This being said, we were told that no Rubina Fairy Tiny Tot was in the works at this time.   So I guess it is one of those things that is up in the air.  If there is enough demand for her and the original is a sell-out, maybe they'll change their mind.  

We've also had a couple questions about the pricing of Rubina Fairy and if she will ever go on sale.  Our philosophy is that since we are the only retailers of this doll, we want to make sure that Rubina Fairy holds her value for all those who have purchased her.   John and I discussed that the best way to do this would be to keep her store price at $159.95 (with free S/H) until sell-out.  Other fairies like Blanca Fairy and Daisyetta Fairy did a good job at holding their retail value and we want our collecting friends to know that their special limited fairy that they purchased from Count Your Beans with Marie's personal signature on the Certificate of Authenticity is not only a gorgeous collectible but a wonderful value for such a small limited worldwide edition.  Thanks so much for your support with this!

** We try to keep our website stock updated however as I do all the updates and website coding manually, there are occasions where something will be in stock but will be sold out before I have the chance to update. These are partial shipments with more on the way.  Where we received only partial shipments, orders will be filled first in order of pre-order date.  Our second shipment is expected by the end of next week. We do have enough dolls from most of the first shipments to fill our pre-orders and we do have extras of some dolls as well.  Dolls that are almost sold out (first shipment) include Baby Rosebud, Buttons & Bows Pink, Adora Tu Tu Cute, Valentine Keepsake 2008.

Peaceable & Tiger have not yet shipped from Charisma Brands.  They were supposed to be into us this week but were delayed to Charisma's Maryland Distribution Center.  They should be arriving to Charisma (in Maryland) in their next container which will hopefully be shortly.  The new ETA has been pushed back to late February or early March.. Poor Tiger.... he's been waiting for over a year to appear!!  It will be GRRRRRRRReat to see him!  We apologize for the delay and thank you again for your support!  

As a friendly reminder, the following dolls are February releases but 4 week holds with QVC.  That means they get an exclusive the first 4 weeks and then Charisma ships to us.  Realistically, we should get the dolls about 5 weeks from now, should all go well:  Chenille Tiny Tot - French Kissy Tiny Tot - Olive May 50th Anniversary - Little Things Toddler - Caramel Too Sweets Tot - Mint Truffle Too Sweets Tot.

** We WILL be matching the QVC TSV for the Too Sweets Tots but need to figure out the pricing after we see what is shown on TV today.  The plate that they are showing on TV is not available to retailers.   We will be offering the dolls individually as well as in sets.

*** There will be a new Becoming Butterflies Retail Exclusive coming in April.  Her name is Confidence.   We should get pictures and a description by Monday but we can tell you in advance that she has dark hair and is dressed in a beautiful red dress with butterfly wings.

** Rubina (Valentina) Fairy is now in stock at Count Your Beans!  We have been sending emails and invoices throughout the weekend.  If you have not heard from us and you did not see an email in your spam folder or a PayPal invoice in your PayPal account, please contact us countyourbeans@aol.com because we have tried to contact everyone.  (There were a couple people with bouncing email addresses where we need to get your most current information.)

We are quite pleased with the way that Rubina Fairy has turned out!  Marie has hand-signed each Certificate of Authenticity and we will be taking close-up pictures of Rubina in the next few days so that you may see extra detailing on her face and body. She does come with a doll stand and instructions for attaching her fairy wings.  (If you leave the wings off, you could display her as Rubina Ballerina!)

Thank you to everyone for your patience and support.  This is our first Count Your Beans Marie Osmond exclusive and it has been quite a learning experience for us.  We feel very blessed to have such awesome customers & collecting friends.  We hope you will get as much joy out of Rubina as we do!

We suspect this doll will be quite popular as she is named for Marie's 2008 Theme... Little Things from A to Z...

*** Spring 2008 Catalogs have now arrived.  Although these are for sale for $5 apiece upon request (retailers do have to purchase catalogs from Charisma), we will be including 1 Catalog free per customer with a shipped order of $100 or greater.  For those of you who purchased Rubina, we are including a catalog in with your order. For those who have February dolls on order with us, we will include a catalog with your next shipment.   (Shipping the catalogs with the dolls saves us quite a bit in fees and with the shipping rates the way they are, every little bit counts!)

*** As many of you may know, we do quite a bit of selling at eBay in addition to our website sales at CountYourBeans.com. eBay just made a lot of new changes to their policies, including fee increases.  Some have asked if we are going to continue selling at eBay and the answer is yes.  We do love our auction customers but we certainly do appreciate when they buy from us here at our website as this saves us quite a bit in listing and final valuation fees.  It also allows us to offer website only specials such as Bonus Beans and Free S/H on shipped orders over $50.  We are proud of over 17,500 positive feedbacks we have received at eBay over the past 9 years and hope to continue working with you no matter whether you buy from us here through our website (hint, hint) or in auction.    Thanks!

We have just updated our Marie Osmond Alphabetical Listings Pages!  We currently have over 330 Marie Osmond styles of Marie Osmond dolls available for order or pre-order!

** Our first supply of Adora My Dolly Belle is now in.  Customers who pre-ordered have either been contacted or will be contacted by 2/4.  We have two other orders of this doll coming in.  The first is expected in early February and the second is expected in mid-February.  Our Charisma Sales Rep says she believe this doll will sell out soon at Charisma so if you have not pre-ordered her, we do recommend you do so! 

** Rubina is supposed to be in transit to us now.  We are awaiting the tracking # for her but we are *hoping* she will arrive by the middle of the week so we can turn her around quickly for you for possible Valentine's Day arrival.  (We can't guarantee that at this point since we don't have tracking information but we are doing our best to make sure that once the dolls arrive, everyone is contacted quickly.)  If you want to pay off your balance is advance, just drop John or me a line at countyourbeans@aol.com and we'll send you an invoice for your balance. **

** The Marie Osmond dolls that will be shown on Marie's QVC show on February 13th are supposed to ship from Maryland early next week.  We are hoping to therefore have them in time for the show.   The exceptions would be the "4 week hold dolls - Daisyetta TT, French Kissy TT, Too Sweets Caramel, Too Sweets Mint Truffle & Olive May 50th Anniversary.   The 4 week holds should ship in mid-March to arrive in mid to late March.

** A special note for dolls that are out of stock and on re-order:  We are noticing that the average arrival time for in-stock re-orders to get to us from the time we order is running around 2 1/2 - 3 weeks.   It used to be much sooner but as Charisma's shipping operations are now based out of Maryland, there are extra days in the process on both the front and back end.   Please keep this in mind when ordering.  We will do our best to provide you with quality service and quick turnaround but we unfortunately cannot control the speed of transit.  Thanks as always for your support!! **

*** Rag-A-Muffin Cups issue: If you have received a damaged Rag-A-Muffin muffin cup with your Marie Osmond Rag-A-Muffin, Count Your Beans and Charisma Brands are very sorry about this inconvenience.  This is a defect issue and is unfortunately an ongoing problem with the Rag-A-Muffin doll series.  Charisma is working to rectify this and will replace defective / damaged cups for you upon request.  Their customer service # is (800) 779-5335 and you can ask for the Charisma Brands doll hospital. Please allow time for them to send you a replacement. Thanks!

*** Pictures, pricing and pre-order information for the debut of Charisma's new 18 Whispering Willows Fairies were received today and we will be working on adding this section to our website for pre-order later this week. *** Adora My Dolly Belle was just announced today!  She is a Retailer Exclusive doll limited to just 350 pieces and will be $129.95.  We are pretty sure she is full body porcelain and she comes with a dolly friend. We are accepting pre-orders now.  Estimated delivery date is late January.

*** Charisma Brands Web Conference - Charisma Brands had a web / tele-conference on Friday afternoon with a number of their top retailers.  The topics of discussion included New Marie Osmond Dolls for Winter / Spring 2008, Marie's new theme for 2008, a sneak peek at the Spring 2008 catalog and information about other Charisma Brands lines such as Kewpie, Candy Fashion, Penny Brite and the new Whispering Willows Fairies. 

Here are the details that we remember from the call!  More to follow!

Marie's theme for 2008 is "It's The Little Things That Count".  Her new Spring 2008 Catalog (which is not yet available) is designed with the theme, "It's the Little Things from A to Z" and features a number of new lines including Too Sweet Tots -- the confection collection, Tree House Tots by Debbie Sampson, Hershey Miniatures (3") and other little delights including 3 bare-bottomed cute resin figurine dolls.  Many of Marie's dolls for this year will be 3" - 5" and in the $29.95 - $49.95 price point. 

Of course she certainly won't forget adding favorite toddlers to other popular lines as well.  Look for Just Ducky and Luv Some Bunny in the My Pet Collection, Peaceable in the Becoming Butterflies Series, Banana Cream to finish off the Creme de la Creme Series and Mary Had A Little Lamb in the Once Upon A Dress series.

As of 1/6/08, we have not yet received pictures for the February and April 2008 dolls.  We have received descriptions of the February 2008 dolls and hope to have those up on our site in the next couple days.  In the meantime, if you'd like to place pre-orders you are welcome to do so by emailing us at countyourbeans@aol.com.

Because we have received dozens of emails asking why the pictures have not yet been released to retailers for posting, we wanted to let you know that we totally empathize with you.  This is a situation that is unfortunately beyond our control.  Our understanding is that the reason for this delay of pictures is because the TV shopping channel that Marie sells on has requested this to be the case. (Presumably this is to maximize their sales and minimize pre-orders of competitors.)  We don't agree with their strategy but unfortunately, there is not much we can do except to politely request that there be a change.  As a retailer, it is extremely difficult to pre-sell and pre-order dolls without pictures because few people want to commit sight unseen unless it is for a tiny tot where one already knows what the toddler looks like. We truly appreciate all of your support and will do our best to continue servicing you.

On to the more positive!!   Here is information from the call regarding other Charisma Breands lines.

Kewpie Dolls: There will be approximately 23 new Kewpies for Spring 2008.  Some of the names we remember include: Going To The Chapel - Leilani - Angel Kisses - Pool Party - Dr. McKewpie !! - Statue of Liberty - Winner's Circle - Mint Julep and a collection of 12 Horoscope Kewpies, one for each sign of the Zodiac.   There will also be some Kewpie Figurine launches as well ranging in price from $12.95 - $29.95.  Kewpie dolls will still be $29.95 and up.  We carry the entire Kewpie line and currently have all 2007 Kewpies on sale now!

Whispering Willow Fairies: This is a BRAND NEW Charisma Brands fantasy fairies and friends line launching for pre-order in Winter 2008 and scheduled to first start arriving in Spring 2008.  Charisma Brands is VERY excited about this line that includes amazing collections of Fairy & Fantasy dolls by world-renowned one of a kind German fairy artist, Silke Janas-Schloesser.  (Silke's personal website can be found here.)

Price points for the Whispering Willow Fairies line will range between around $29.95 - $149.95. Fairies will range in size from as small as 3" to over 23". Charisma has created a special website for you to view an online catalog of these dolls at www.whisperingwillowfairies.com. We will be carrying the entire line and will be adding a dedicated section to our website in January 2008.  If you see anything you like please contact us for pre-order and pricing information.

Penny Brite: This line will be continued in 2008.  Charisma will be adding complementary products to the Penny Brite doll.  If interested, just let us know!

Candy Fashion: This line will be continued in 2008.  Candy Fashion Groovy which was supposed to be out in Fall 2007 should be coming out in Winter or Spring 2008. We are currently accepting pre-orders.

Lulla-My-Baby & LIPSTIK: These lines are now retired.  We are sold out of Lulla-My-Baby but do have some LIPSTIK dolls and outfits left.  We also have Magic Attic outfits as well.

Artista Dolls: There was no mention of new 2008 Artista releases but we have been told (update 1/20) that there will be a couple dolls out later in the year.  In the meantime, we are having a Wonderful Winter Sale on ALL Artista dolls by Donna RuBert, Kymberli Durden, Rachel Scott & Jane Pinkstaff. LOTS of great deals available!

** We're embarrassed and afraid to say that we again have some bad news regarding the Christmas Keepsake dolls as well as many other boxes of dolls that were pre-ordered and re-ordered in November (& prior) for holiday delivery.  (This includes but is not limited to Baby Boop in Pink, Cream Puff, Inspiration, Harmony, Heaven's Helpers Ornaments Sets # 1 & 2, Baby Mein Liebling Holiday, Hershey Hugs Tiny Tot, Holly Hobbie, Lavender Rose Tiny Tot, Yellow Rose Tiny Tot, Queen Elizabeth Tiny Tot, Katie Sue Grandma's Rose Garden, Peaches & Cream, Wee Care, Whimsy, Heaven's Holiday Helper, Sabrina Fairy Tiny Tot, Arabella Fairy Tiny Tot, Lemon Meringue Toddler, Friendship Rose Tiny Tot, Raspberry Tart Tiny Tot, Blueberry Muffin Tiny Tot, Baby Darling Tiny Tot, Tabitha Fairy Tiny Tot, Cherubic Chef, Breena Fairy Tiny Tot, Carrot Rag-A-Muffin, Cherry Rag-A-Muffin, the Rose Bud Ornaments as well as Kewpies and Candy Fashion.)

After multiple delays, We were assured that our packages would be coming in on December 18th at the latest.  When they did not, we called Charisma and found out that none of the dolls physically left the Maryland warehouse (apparently due to weather and/or manpower issues) until Friday, December 14th.  As such, we will not have them in until 12/21 or 12/24 and can not provide Christmas delivery.

We are very frustrated about this and are so sorry for everyone who has been adversely impacted.  We are trying to contact everyone impacted and refer them to other shops, refund deposits and/or offer substitutions or an opportunity to wait.  If you have pre-ordered with us and not been contacted, please check your spam folders nd/or email John at countyourbeans@aol.com or Karen at cntyrbeans@aol.com.

We will be working with Charisma to see if there is anything that they can do so that this does not happen again in the future with their Maryland distribution center.  Charisma Brands will be closed from 12/24 until the New Year and will be shipping again in 2008.

We totally appreciate your patience, understanding and support and appreciate you sticking with us.  We care about our customers and apologize again profusely for an inconvenience this has caused.   We do our best to pass along what we assume to be accurate information and feel horrible when we say one thing and another thing happens.

** Crystal in Pink and a partial shipment of Radiance arrived today!  Those who pre-ordered will be contacted within the next 72 hours.  We received about 2/3 of our Radiance dolls ordered and we've been told the balance should be arriving in the next 2 - 3 weeks. Whenever we get partial shipments, we fill orders in the order where deposits were initially received. That being said, if you have a doll on layaway, your Radiance will be in the second shipment unless you wish to pay off your layaway now.

** We received a preliminary picture today of our Count Your Beans exclusive standing Fairy.  She is very lovely and we hope you'll be pleased!  There have been a few changes and until we confirm details, we don't want to give out incorrect specifics. But she is gorgeous! Her ETA has been pushed back to 2008 due to production / shipping timing.  We are hoping to have her in early 2008 and with her lovely coloring, she would make the PERFECT gift to yourself for Valentine's Day.  Her LE will still be 300 and her price will be $159.95.

** We do not know if retailers will be getting the 2008 Marie Osmond Dolls Calendar for resale.  Last year it was a FREE GIFT from Charisma & Count Your Beans with purchase of an October doll but unfortunately, Charisma Brands has discontinued the gift program for 2007.

** We were told that retailers will probably NOT be getting the new Dancing With The Stars Adora Belle but we and other retailers are definitely asking for one so hopefully something will come about!

** Charisma has let us know that new to production issues, our Count Your Beans exclusive fairy will unfortunately NOT be on their production schedule to arrive in 2007. We are hoping for it to be a 1st quarter 2008 release. Charisma liked our idea for the fairy so much (coloring wise) that we hope they will still keep it as an exclusive for us but this is up in the air at this point.

** The next Marie Ossmond QVC show will be in February 2008.  February doll descriptions are expected to be released in early November.  Pictures of Baby Peggy, Christmas Morning Rag-A-Muffin and the Baker's Rack should be released within 4 weeks due to QVC's 1st 4 week exclusive with these items.

** When we spoke with Charisma about the shipping of the October Dolls, we were told that most would be arriving to Charisma's MARYLAND warehouse around October 24th and will be shipping to retailers shortly thereafter.  Since we are in Washington, we expect that most of the October dolls will arrive either at the end of October or first week in November.

We've had a number of questions recently about Count Your Beans Exclusive Marie Osmond Fairy.  We truly appreciate your interest and are sorry we don't have complete information at this time.   This is what we know so far!

Right now our Marie Osmond fairy doll is currently in pre-production with Charisma Brands.  We have not yet received a picture of her and a lot of the details are still "to be determined" so we can only give limited information at this time.  (As the doll still is going through the approval process, information is subject to change.)

The fairy will be a Karen Scott sculpt and should be a standing fairy approximately 17" in height. (Think the size of Blanca or Merry Fairy or Tabitha). She will be part of the Fairy Series.

The colors we asked for were berry or cranberry hues in both her dress and her hair so that she could fit in nicely with Christmas holiday decor or Valentine's Day decor but also be displayed year 'round with her fairy sisters.  She has yet to be named but we have a few ideas in mind. Her edition size will be 300 and we've been told that Marie will personally hand-sign each of the certificates of authenticity.  Price is yet to be determined but should be about $159.95.

Charisma Brands was to give us a preliminary picture earlier this summer but that has been temporarily delayed due to the myriad of things they currently have going on.  We are hoping to receive the picture soon!  Should all go well, the most recent physical ETA we heard for her would be mid-November, however if there are more delays and we don't think we'll get her in time for Christmas delivery, we may have her as a January release instead so that collectors can get her in time for Valentine's Day.  That's up in the air at this point.

We will be accepting $10 deposits and placing her on our website for pre-order once we have a definite word that she will be coming in this year.  If you would like us to place you on our interest list, we would be happy to contact you once she is "officially" on our website and available for pre-order.  Please email Karen at cntyrbeans@aol.com or John at countyourbeans@aol.com and we'll be happy to accommodate you.

** No more new August dolls have arrived as of 9/12 but we are hopeful.  A number are missing from our Back Order Report so we're hoping that means they are on the way to us!

** We only received partial shipments of Baby Elvis, Merry Kisses Tiny Tot and Baby Mein Liebling.  We are filling pre-orders in the order in which they came in but do have more on order and hope for them to be in within the next couple of weeks.

** Looking at our Back Order Report, Friendship Rose Tiny Tot & Amaya Holiday Tiny Tot may have further delays.  The last we heard they were expected for this week but that I think that will be changing.   We will post more information as we have it.

The GOOD NEWS is that a shipment of some of the dolls was sent to us on Friday, August 31st.  From the tracking # we received, we anticipate these dolls to arrive around Friday, September 7th to ship Monday, September 10th or Tuesday, September 11th.   We do not have an actual list yet of what has shipped but we have been told it is multiple boxes of multiple dolls.

** August Dolls Shipping Update:  Unfortunately, Charisma Brands is currently experiencing delays in getting Retailer supplies of August dolls shipped to retailers.  They are very aware of the situation and are very apologetic to all customers and retailers.  We are very sorry too for your inconvenience and wait and appreciate your patience.

The dolls will be shipping in staggered shipments.  Please see our posting from 8/24 below for general shipping estimates.  These estimates have had to be pushed back a bit and we are trying to update our website whenever we get new information.  We have not yet received any of the August dolls as of 9/2, however from what we were told in talking with our Sales Director on Friday, there is a shipment of some dolls currently on the way and we are hoping to get that by 9/6.  

Some dolls apparently will be shipping from Charisma's new distribution center in Maryland and some will be shipping from a temporary distribution set-up in Southern California.  Once we get dolls in, we will post again.  Those who prepaid will have their dolls shipped within 1 - 2 business days of arrival.  Those who have pre-ordered but not yet been invoiced for their balance will be invoiced once we have the dolls arrive into stock.  As there are so many different dolls in this grouping and they are coming in staggered shipments, if you have purchased multiple items, we may ask if you want a single or multiple shipments.  We will ship $50 or more worth of in-stock merchandise at no cost (in the continental USA), so if you have 2 different tiny tots coming in at two different times, we're happy to combine them if you'd like.

Count Your Beans wants to extend a big congratulations to Marie Osmond!  Marie Osmond has been selected to appear as a contestant on the 5th installment of Dancing With The Stars premiering on ABC TV on September 24th. GO MARIE!

She's a little bit country, but luckily her musical repertoire extends far beyond that. Marie Osmond won our hearts as the co-host of the variety show "The Donny and Marie Show," with brother Donny. She's an accomplished author and entrepreneur too, with her very own line of dolls. Osmond will dance with Jonathan Roberts, returning for his fourth season.   (Steve Marcus/Reuters)

** October Dolls have been added to our website for Pre-Order.  Of special note is the Very Limited Edition Retail Exclusive Doll, My Friend Holiday.  My Friend Holiday is dressed in a beautiful snowflake dress with all the bells and whistles.  Very few retailers are going to receive her because she is already sold out in pre-orders at Charisma Brands. (We estimate about 12 - 15)

We ordered quite a few but pre-orders are still highly recommended!

** Count Your Beans is partnering with Marie Osmond and Charisma Brands to have our own Limited Edition Exclusive FAIRY doll coming to you this Fall.  We can't tell you much about her yet except that she will be EXCLUSIVELY offered by Count Your Beans and she is still in preliminary production.

We can tell you that she will be limited to 300 pieces and her Certificate of Authenticity will be hand-signed by Marie Osmond.  She will be a Karen Scott sculpt and her theme will tie in with other fairy dolls in the Fairy Series such as Arabella, Blanca, Breena, Crystalline, Daisyetta & Tabitha.

*** We spoke with our Regional Sales Rep at Charisma today and she gave us some important new news which we are passing along to you.

There is a very strong chance that there will be 4 February Marie Osmond dolls which will be on 4 week QVC hold.

The dolls are:
Emmaline Tiny Tot
Baby Boop (aka Baby Betty Boop)
Katie Sue Grandma's Rose Garden
Spring Fever

We and other retailers definitely WILL get the above dolls but it is likely that we will not get them until approximately 4 weeks after the dolls are shown on QVC. The QVC show is February 14 so the hold release would likely be in mid-March.  We have updated our site accordingly.  If you pre-ordered before the update and this will be an issue, please let us know and we'll be happy to accommodate you.

*** Most of the other dolls slated for February release will start to ship to retailers early next week so they can have them in time for the show. We don't have a list yet.

One exception is that Whimsy Butterfly Fairy is likely to come in the latter part of February.

As always, this information is subject to change and should the dolls come earlier, we definitely wouldn't mind!

*** Also, there will be an introduction of 3 new Retail Exclusives for March, April and May, one per month. According to today's Charisma newsletter, the promotion will likely be marketed as "My Mom, My Daughter, My Friend" and more information will be coming next week.

From what we know, there will be a seated Sasha, a Baby Rachel (Rachel Scott) and a 3rd doll as well. Each is tentatively going to be limited to 500 and will be a retailer exclusive.

There will also be a special scrapbooking contest related to the promotion. More details are forthcoming.

*** Daisyetta Fairy aka Daisy, the Toy Fair Exclusive has had her edition size increased from 180 to 500 (presumably to customer demand).  She will be 12" seated, have yellow blonde hair and blue eyes and will be sculpted similarly in style to Sabrina Fairy.  We will be getting her and are accepting pre-orders.

*** Baby Mein Liebling Mother's Eyelet (LE 200) is sold out at Charisma and almost sold out in pre-order at Count Your Beans.  We have allocated two to be listed at eBay and as of today we still have a few left for website pre-order.

*** The Spring 2007 catalogs were supposed to come in on Friday with our re-order of January dolls but unfortunately we learned they are on back-order.  Charisma said they should be back in by the end of next week.  We will be shipping one for Free with every February website order or pre-order of $100 or more. The catalogs can also be purchased for $5.00 apiece.
