History of Berenguer Dolls

JC Toys Group, Inc. dolls were first introduced to the US Market in the early 1980’s. At this time the company and product was known by the popular name BERJUSA ®. These dolls had a sizable impact on the doll market because of their innovative life-like features and adorable, gentle facial sculpts. Recognizable brand names of dolls introduced at this time were Minene ®, Tunene ®. Later in the 80’s dolls like the La Baby ® and the La Newborn ® were introduced and began, what today can be considered one of the most complete doll collections in the world.

To this day the sculpting of all Berenguer doll products is headed by the artistic direction of Salvador Berenguer. The Berenguer family name has been associated with doll design since the 1940’s. In 1944 Jose Berenguer, Salvador Berenguer’s father, began a lifelong passion for designing dolls. By the 1950’s Berenguer’s dolls had built a solid reputation of quality craftsmanship and unsurpassed beauty. The most popular Berenguer dolls during this era were the Chelito and Pepin dolls.

Possessing the same natural talent for doll design as his father, Salvador Berenguer followed the family tradition of designing dolls. By 1967 Salvador began designing dolls and continues to do so today with remarkable creativity and an unending passion for perfection.

IMPORTANT ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS for Berenguer Dolls

For payment, if not using our shopping cart system above, we also accept money orders and checks. Personal and business checks are subject to a 7 business day hold, however if we've done business successfully with you in the past, we may waive part of this hold or all of this hold at our discretion.  We accept electronic checks and credit card payment through PayPal, which accepts Visa/MC/AmEx/Discover. Our email address for electronic payment is countyourbeans@aol.com or cntyrbeans@aol.com for PayPal.  If you prefer, you may use our easy electronic cart system above for convenient payment through PayPal, credit card or electronic check. If you prefer paying with a credit card over the phone, you may do so, by calling us at 360-852-8368 after 10:00 a.m PST.

* FREE SHIPPING offer is for UPS Ground / Insured delivery within the continental USA (street addresses only for UPS).  In order to qualify for Free S/H, your order must be $75 or greater and $75 or more worth of merchandise must ship at one time.  You may combine Berenguer doll purchases with other website purchases in order to meet the $75 threshold. If you wish to ship UPS 2 or 3 day Select, USPS Priority/Insured or Rush Delivery or you live outside the continental USA, we will pay a partial shipping credit equivalent to what it would cost to send UPS from WA. Please inquire for rates.

Please note that the shopping cart system calculates S/H based on UPS Grd/Ins S/H in continental USA. If you will be shipping via the United States Postal Service either inside or outside of the USA or will be using expedited shipping methods, shipping rates will be different and we will send an invoice for the difference. 

If you want to pay for your order via US mail and are ready to place your order or you have specific questions not answered here, please email countyourbeans@aol.com or call 360-852-8368.  We do our best to respond within 1 business day, Monday through Friday.  During very busy times of the year, please allow up to 2 business days for a response. We do often work on weekends but our general business days are Monday through Friday.

Generally orders are shipped Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays except during certain times of the year when we may be out of town or closed for a holiday.  During the busy holiday season, we will often add additional shipping days. We do our best to ship all orders the first business shipping day after payment clearance, however during especially busy times, please allow up to 3 business days for shipment.

If mailing a payment, please make your check or money order payable to "Count Your Beans" and mail to: Count Your Beans, Website Order, P.O. Box 87043, Vancouver, WA  98687.   Please verify with us via email in advance what you are ordering so that we may confirm stock and set it aside for you.We will send email with a UPS tracking # after your payment arrives and your package is ready to ship.  Thank you for your business!
